De hemel boven Trento

At 46.1 degrees north latitude, Trento enjoys one of Italy's darkest skies thanks to the Trentino Dolomites and low urban density. The Monte Bondone Astronomical Observatory, located at 1,650 metres altitude 20 kilometres from the city, offers Bortle 1 to 2 skies in Val di Sole — among Western Europe's purest for observing the Milky Way year-round.
