Terms of Service

Preamble
These Terms of Service govern all sales made on the website ownstarmap.fr, published by MARIE THEO (trade name: ROCKETDEV), sole proprietor, SIRET 890 214 380 00028, 14160 Dives-sur-Mer, France. Any order implies unreserved acceptance of these Terms.
Article 1 — Purpose
These Terms define the rights and obligations of the parties in the context of the sale of personalized star maps offered by ownstarmap.fr.
Article 2 — Products and services
OwnStarMap offers the following products:
- Digital product: high-resolution PDF file of a personalized star map, available for immediate download after payment.
- Physical prints: posters printed on fine art paper, available in multiple sizes (US Letter, A2, 16×20 inches, 18×24 inches).
- Frame option: frame available as an add-on for physical prints.
Each star map is generated according to the customer's specifications (location, date, time, style, custom text).
Article 3 — Prices
Prices are listed in euros (€), all taxes included. VAT not applicable under article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.
- Digital (PDF): €29
- US Letter print: €39
- A2 print: €49
- 16×20 inch print: €59
- 18×24 inch print: €69
- Frame add-on: €20
Prices may be modified at any time. Orders are invoiced based on the prices in effect at the time of order validation.
Article 4 — Order and payment
The customer customizes their star map using the online tool, selects the desired format, then proceeds to payment. Payment is made by credit card through the secure Stripe platform. The order is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. A confirmation email is sent to the customer.
Article 5 — Delivery
Digital product
The digital file is available for immediate download after payment confirmation. A download link is sent by email, valid for 30 days.
Physical prints
Prints are shipped within 10 to 15 business days after order confirmation. Delivery times are provided as estimates.
Article 6 — Right of withdrawal
In accordance with articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, customers have 14 days from receipt of the product to exercise their right of withdrawal.
Digital content exception: in accordance with article L221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium when performance has begun with the consumer's consent and acknowledgment that they lose their right of withdrawal. By ordering a digital product, the customer agrees that the download begins immediately and expressly waives their right of withdrawal.
Custom product exception: in accordance with article L221-28 3° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized. Star maps being generated according to the customer's parameters (location, date, text), they constitute personalized products.
For standard physical prints, the customer may exercise their right of withdrawal within 14 days of receipt by contacting hello@ownstarmap.fr.
Article 7 — Legal guarantee of conformity
In accordance with articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the customer benefits from the legal guarantee of conformity. In the event of a conformity defect, the customer may request repair or replacement of the product under the conditions provided by law.
Article 8 — Liability
MARIE THEO commits to providing star maps that are as accurate as possible, based on verified astronomical data (HYG catalog). However, MARIE THEO cannot be held liable for indirect damages resulting from the use of the website or products. The liability of MARIE THEO is limited to the order amount.
Article 9 — Personal data
Personal data collected during the ordering process is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at ownstarmap.fr/privacy.
Article 10 — Dispute mediation
In the event of a dispute, the customer may use the consumer mediation service free of charge. The competent mediator is the Centre de Médiation et d'Arbitrage de Paris (CMAP), 39 avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt, 75008 Paris — cmap.fr. The customer may also file a complaint on the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Article 11 — Applicable law
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless otherwise provided by applicable consumer protection laws.
