Personalized Star Map of Virginia Beach

The Virginia Beach Boardwalk, 3 miles long and 26 feet wide, is one of the world's longest boardwalks. Built in 1888 and fully concreted in 1928, it borders the Atlantic from 2nd Street to 40th Street, hosting bronze statues, fitness areas, and the famous 34-foot King Neptune Statue unveiled in 2005 at Neptune Festival Park.

First Landing State Park, established in 1936 across 2,888 acres at the tip of Cape Henry, is Virginia's most visited state park. It commemorates the arrival of English colonists on April 26, 1607, and holds one of the northernmost bald cypress ecosystems in America — some 500 years old — and 20 miles of trails winding between maritime dunes and marshes.

Cape Henry Lighthouse, completed in 1792, was the first lighthouse built by the US federal government and the first public works project commissioned by Congress. Today called Old Cape Henry Lighthouse to distinguish it from the second (1881), it rises 90 feet and has been designated a National Historic Landmark since 2002. Visitors can still climb its 191 steps for a view of Chesapeake Bay.
