Terms of Service

Preamble

These Terms of Service govern all sales made on the website ownstarmap.fr, published by ROCKETDEV, sole proprietor, SIRET 890 214 380 00028, 14160 Dives-sur-Mer, France. Any order implies unreserved acceptance of these Terms.

Article 1 — Purpose

These Terms define the rights and obligations of the parties in the context of the sale of personalized star maps offered by ownstarmap.fr.

Article 2 — Products and services

OwnStarMap offers the following products:

• Digital product: high-resolution PDF of a personalized star map in the selected format, available from the customer area after payment confirmation.
• Physical product: personalized poster printed in the format selected during ordering and prepared by an external production or supply partner.
• Only the options and format shown in the current checkout are included in the order.

Each star map is generated according to the customer's specifications (location, date, time, style, custom text).

Article 3 — Prices

Commercial base values are managed in euros. Website currencies are presentation conversions; the final amount and currency shown by Stripe before payment confirmation are authoritative.

• Digital product: the applicable amount is shown before payment confirmation.
• Physical product: the selected format and applicable amount are shown before payment confirmation.
• Delivery is included in the displayed physical-product price.
• Taxes or customs duties may apply according to the destination.
• Physical delivery is available only to destinations accepted during ordering.

Prices and presentation currencies may change. The checkout total shown before confirmation applies to the order.

Article 4 — Order and payment

The customer customizes their star map using the online tool, selects the desired format, then proceeds to payment. Payment is made by credit card through the secure Stripe platform. The order is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. A confirmation email is sent to the customer.

Article 5 — Delivery

Digital product

The selected-format PDF is available immediately from the customer area after payment confirmation, with no digital delivery fee. No fixed access duration or download count is promised.

Physical prints

Personalization and preparation normally take 3–5 business days. Transit after dispatch generally takes about 7–10 business days depending on destination, carrier and local controls. Allow roughly 10–15 business days overall; delays can occur.

Article 6 — Right of withdrawal

Mandatory withdrawal and conformity rights apply according to the product, checkout consent and applicable law.

No customer-facing waiver of digital withdrawal rights is asserted by these Terms unless the checkout captures the legally required express consent and acknowledgement. Access or technical defects must be corrected or access restored.

Personalized physical products cannot be returned solely for a change of mind. This does not remove mandatory rights for defects or lack of conformity.

If a physical product has a defect or quality problem, contact support and attach photos when possible. After verification, the issue will be corrected or the product replaced without an additional product charge when necessary.

Article 7 — Legal guarantee of conformity

In accordance with articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the customer benefits from the legal guarantee of conformity. In the event of a conformity defect, the customer may request repair or replacement of the product under the conditions provided by law.

Article 8 — Liability

ROCKETDEV commits to providing star maps that are as accurate as possible, based on verified astronomical data (HYG catalog). However, ROCKETDEV cannot be held liable for indirect damages resulting from the use of the website or products. The liability of ROCKETDEV is limited to the order amount.

Article 9 — Personal data

Personal data collected during the ordering process is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at ownstarmap.fr/privacy.

Article 10 — Dispute mediation

In the event of a dispute, the customer may use the consumer mediation service free of charge. The competent mediator is the Centre de Médiation et d'Arbitrage de Paris (CMAP), 39 avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt, 75008 Paris — cmap.fr. The customer may also file a complaint on the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Article 11 — Applicable law

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless otherwise provided by applicable consumer protection laws.
