Isola Bella

Isola Bella, a microscopic island connected to the coast by a pebble strip, was bought in 1890 by Florence Trevelyan, an eccentric English aristocrat who laid out an exotic botanical garden there. A protected nature reserve since 1998, it is one of Sicily's most photographed sites and forms part of the protected park of Capo Sant'Andrea.
