Pegasus is known for its "Great Square" — four stars forming a huge rectangle in the autumn sky. Enif, the brightest, is a red supergiant 12,000 times more luminous than the Sun.

Visible in autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, forms a "Great Square".
Mythology
Pegasus, the winged horse born from Medusa's blood, carried Perseus and then Bellerophon on their adventures. Struck down by Zeus for attempting to reach Olympus, he was placed among the stars as reward for his service to the Greek heroes.
